Wednesday we received a package in the mail from the Cole Family! Inside there were belated birthday gifts for Max and a nice long letter. (Plus some Family Fun magazines, passed along by my sister-in-law!) Since they decided they like living in Texas better than they like Iowa, :) I thought they might like to see a video of the unwrapping.
The boys were only slightly bent out of shape that "Max got something cool." Evidently babies aren't supposed to get cool stuff. There might actually be some squabbling over who gets to use the new construction silverware. Max LOVES holding silverware while he eats. Notice I didn't say he actually knows how to properly use it yet, but he loves to practice! He hold the food in one hand and the fork in the other and try to get the food to stay on the fork or he'll give me the fork to put food on it for him, then I have to hand it back so he can be the one to actually put it in his mouth. He's learning, so he's at the perfect age for this gift. By the way, just so everyone knows, the third piece of cutlery is not a knife, it's a bulldozer, a food pusher-arounder, I guess, how fun is that?! He really likes the puzzle too - anything that he can use his pointer fingers to operate!
(The pieces flip around to reveal different pictures.)
Thanks so much for the presents, Cole Family!
The other boys were instructed to be on the lookout for pretty fall leaves to send to Aunt Shelly in the mail, since Texas doesn't get the fall color changes. So we are on the lookout for leaves to send soon! They were pretty excited to have their own sections of the letter addressed to each of them. It made our day!

I am so glad Max likes the picture puzzle! I specifically chose it because your videos always show him using his pointer finger so I knew he's like the puzzle.
I wish there were silverware items for Sam & Will like the tractors, but I don't think there are.... sorry guys!
I'm looking forward to the pretty leaves to come in the mail!!
