AWANA Grand Prix

The TNT kids (3rd through 6th graders) get to participate in a pinewood derby kind of contest where they design their own cars and race them. We were all invited to come and cheer Will on.Fans, with flags and everything:

Flags are good for chewing. Every flag Max got ahold of was ripped off its stick in seconds:

The other kids' cars in his age group (the black cat with the pink bow was really fast and won a trophy!):The older kids - they seem to get more creative the older they get. We didn't realize there would be awards for design! hmmm...it's got me thinking about taking over next year! The pink shoe and the penguin won trophies for design - and they were brother and sister! (the black cat above was also a sibling!) Notice the hotdog car in the back?! The plain block of wood was actually very fast!
